Rule of Thumb

Singing to your cats is a clear sign that you're spending too much time alone.

If you feel a need to sing, though, might I recommend the following?

Kucing-kucing
Kucing-kucing
Kucing-kucing
KUUUU-CING!

Repeat as needed.

[Translation: "Kitties kitties kitties KI-IITTY!" The "c" in "kucing" makes a ch- sound. Extra bonus points if you address the final, singular "kucing" to a particular beastie.]

If I have to kick my cat outdoors singing to him works every time. I like to think he's intimidated by the pure qualities of my angelic voice - but as he runs away and my husband whinces I'm not so sure.

Great song. Will give it a go ;-)

Thank you! I suspect I have a similar effect on my cats, but the poor things are a captive audience.

By the by, for you dog lovers out there, the dogly equivalent is

anjing-anjing
anjing-anjing
anjing-anjing
aaaannnn-JING!
